This year, the Bonham Centre will be honouring those involved in LGBTQ immigration and refugee issues.  The honourees are:

  • Mr. Vitit Muntarbhorn (Thailand), United Nations Special Representative on LGBTQ Issues, and International Law Professor.
  • Rainbow Railroad (Canada), an organization assisting LGBT people to escape the threat of physical violence or an imminent threat of violence, imprisonment, or death in their home country due to homophobia or government action.
  • Mr. Ahmad Danny Romaro (Syria/Canada),  Syrian-Canadian novelist, public speaker, columnist, and a gay refugee activist.
  • Karlene Williams Clarke (Jamaica/Canada), refugee activist.
